(i) Due to 'S' at β-position, neighbouring group participatic occur giving net retention (twice SN2 inversion).

(ii) OH and Br are not at anti periplanar position so SN2 occurs at α carbon gives inversion and product is meso diol which is achiral.

(iii) No neighouring group present at substrate and the nucleophile is a strong one so it goes by SN2 hence, inversion.

(iv) Show neighbouring group effect due to OAc group and the product formed is achiral.
