Solution

The correct option is B (A)(ii),(B)(iii),(C)(iv),(D)(i)
(A) CH4+2O2KMnO4−−−−[O]CO2+2H2O (ii)
The above reaction is complete oxidation or combustion of alkanes.

(B) 2CH4+O2Cu/523K−−−−100 atm2CH3OH (iii)
When a mixture of methane and oxygen is passed through copper tubes at 523K and 100 atm, Methyl alcohol is produced.
It is an example of controlled oxidation.

(C) CH4+O2Mo2O3−−−ΔHCHO+H2O (iv)
Products formed in the above reaction are HCHOandH2O i.e, formaldehyde and water.
It is also an example of controlled oxidation.

(D) CH4+32O2(CH3COO)2Mn−−−−−−−−−HCOOH+H2O (i)
