Solution

The correct option is A (A)r,s; (B)p,q; (C)p,q,r; (D)p,s
(A)(r,s),(B)(p,q),(C)(p,q,r),(D)(p,s)

Sodium fusion extract of the compound containing C,N gives prussian blue colour with FeSO4. This is the detection of element C and N by Lassaigne's method.

Phenolic groups form coloured iron complex when treated with neutral FeCl3 solution. The formation of the iron complex is attributed to the existance of keto-enol tautomerism in phenol. Phenol predominantly exists in enolic form, hence colour formation is used to identify phenol.

In (A) and (C), terminal chloride ion is capable of forming white precipate of AgCl with AgNO3.

Hydrazine reacts with aldehydes or ketones to give hydrazone. Similarly, aldehydes or ketones give 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazone with 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine compound.
