Linguistically, Belgium can be divided into four regions. Most of the people living in Flanders, or the Flemish region, speak the Dutch language. The second region is known as Wallonia. The people here speak the French language. The remaining percentage of the population speak the German language. They live in the eastern part of Belgium. The fourth region of Belgium is the capital city of Belgium, Brussels. Here, 80% of the population speak French and 20% speak Dutch.
