Cholera is a a bacterial disease causing severe diarrhoea and dehydration, usually spread through water. Filariasis is a tropical, parasitic disease that affects the lymph nodes and lymph vessels. Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease occurring in tropical and subtropical areas. Quick wilt is one of the most destructive diseases of pepper prevalent in Kerala. The disease causes sudden wilting, drying and death of black pepper vines.
