Solution

The correct option is E a- 4, b- 1, c- 2, d- 3
Diencephalon is the posterior part of the forebrain. There are four parts of diencephalon: epithalamus, thalamus, hypothalamus and ventral thalamus. Thalamus is a large structure made up of gray matter. It is located under cerebral cortex. It connects the parts of the brain and spinal cord that also have a role in sensation and movement.
Telencephalon is the endbrain. The structures that comprise the telencephalon are: the cerebral cortex, the hippocampus, the amygdala, the olfactory bulb, and the basal ganglia. Basal ganglia consist of multiple subcortical nuclei in the brains of vertebrates.
Myelencephalon is the posterior portion of the brain stem. This is also called as the medulla oblongata. It is located in the hindbrain, anterior to the cerebellum. It is responsible for involuntary functions.
Metencephalon is the embryonic part of the hindbrain that differentiates into the pons and the cerebellum. Pons is the part of the brain stem. cerebellum is the part located at the back and under the cerebrum.
Thus, the correct answer is option E.
