A. Bud II. Yeast
- Budding is one type of asexual reproduction.
- Budding involves the outgrowth called bud which appears on the organism.
- The organisms formed are smaller in size .Example- yeast.
- At first the bud is formed on the body of the organism.
- After it reaches a particular size it will detach from the parent body and becomes a new individual.
B. Eyes IV Potato
- Vegetative propagation by stems – A number of plants like potato, ginger, turmeric etc.
- For eg potato is an underground swollen stem.
- Potato has scars, scars are called eyes.
- The eyes sprout and give rise to potato plant.
- Potato seeds are weak and they never grow into plants.
C. Fragmentation I. Spirogyra
- In case of Spirogyra, the filaments break up into two or more fragments, these fragments form into new individuals.
D. Wings III. Maple
- Plants like maple, drumstick, fruits have wing like structures.
- The seeds of these plants can be dispersed to suitable environment with the help of wind.
E. Stem cuttings V. Rose
- Rose can be propagated by using the technique of stem cuttings.
- In the case of stem cutting short length of the rose plant stem is cut out and is placed in the soil.
- The stem cutting will develop into an entire plant.
