  1. Budding is one type of asexual reproduction.
  2. Budding involves the outgrowth called bud which appears on the organism.
  3. The organisms formed are smaller in size .Example- yeast.
  4. At first the bud is formed on the body of the organism.
  5. After it reaches a particular size it will detach from the parent body and becomes a new individual.

B. Eyes IV Potato

  1. Vegetative propagation by stems – A number of plants like potato, ginger, turmeric etc.
  2. For eg potato is an underground swollen stem.
  3. Potato has scars, scars are called eyes.
  4. The eyes sprout and give rise to potato plant.
  5. Potato seeds are weak and they never grow into plants.

C. Fragmentation I. Spirogyra

  1. In case of Spirogyra, the filaments break up into two or more fragments, these fragments form into new individuals.

D. Wings III. Maple

  1. Plants like maple, drumstick, fruits have wing like structures.
  2. The seeds of these plants can be dispersed to suitable environment with the help of wind.

E. Stem cuttings V. Rose

  1. Rose can be propagated by using the technique of stem cuttings.
  2. In the case of stem cutting short length of the rose plant stem is cut out and is placed in the soil.
  3. The stem cutting will develop into an entire plant.
