Whooping cough is caused by the bacteria Bordetella pertusis. Patients here suffer from coughing followed by a high pitched wheezing noise.

Tetanus is caused by Clostridium tetani. It attacks the centres controlling muscular action of the body. Symptoms include lockjaw and muscular spasms.

Cholera is a water-borne disease caused by Vibrio cholerae. Patients suffering from this disease experience loose diarrhea, heavy vomiting and muscle cramps.
