Solution

The atomicity of a molecule is the number of atoms present in it. Elemental hydrogen ( H2 ) is diatomic i.e. it has two hydrogen atoms. Elemental sulphur is polyatomic i.e. more than 4 atoms. Sulphur exists as S6, S7, S8, S20 etc.molecules but S8 is more common. Elemental argon exists as independent atoms. So it is monoatomic. Helium and neon are also monoatomic. Carbon dioxide (CO2) compound has 3 atoms. So its atomicity is 3 or triatomic.Ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) compound has 6 atoms. So its atomicity is 6.
