Grafting is another type of artificial vegetative propagation method in which two plants are joined together in such a way that two stems join and grow as a single plant. Grafting techqnique is very useful in propagation of improved varieties of various flower and fruits, such as, mango, citrus, apple.
In stem cutting mode of propagation, a piece of a parent plant having bud, when buried in moist soil grow as an individual plant after developing roots. Sugarcane reproduces by stem cutting mode of propagation.
