Solar cookers use the heat from the sun for cooking food. The functions of different components of the solar cooker are as follows:
1. Black painted surface - the surface of the solar cooker is painted black as black absorbs maximum solar energy. This increases the temperature inside the solar cooker.
2. Glass sheet - the rays of the sun pass through the glass sheet and get trapped inside the box, thus increasing the temperature of the solar cooker.
3. Concave mirror - concave mirrors are provided in the solar cookers for concentrating solar rays at one point. This increase the maximum temperature reached inside the solar cooker.
