Cornea is the projected, transparent, anterior part of the sclera whose function is to refract the light towards the lens. Ciliary muscles are circular muscles seen around the lens which control the curvature of the eye lens depending on the distance of the object being viewed. Retina is the innermost layer of the eye which consists of photoreceptors which have the ability to convert light into electrical impulses. The optic nerve receives the impulses generated by the retina and transmits them to brain where vision is detected.
