The bones of the forelimbs and the hindlimbs correspond to each other. The hind-limb consists of a long bone, called the femur or the thigh bone, two long bones, the inner tibia and the outer fibula and the tarsals (in the ankle), metatarsals and the phalanges.
The forelimb consists of the long bone humerus in the upper arm, the radius and the ulna in the lower arm and also the carpals, metacarpals and the phalanges.
