Solution

The correct option is B (I)-(B), (II)-(C), (III)-(D), (IV)-(A)

  • Depressed Class Association was started by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in the year 1930 for the upliftment of backward classes.
  • Civil disobedience movement: As the British Government did not show any interest in providing meaningful political concessions to Indians, Mahatma Gandhi decided to start the Civil Disobedience Movement and launched the ‘Satyagraha’ campaign by manufacturing salt at Dandi. He ended it as a result of a long negotiation, on 5th March 1931, when the Gandhi-Irwin Pact was signed.
  • Purna Swaraj which is a demand for complete independence was adopted in the Lahore session of Indian National Congress in December 1929.
