A biome is the accumulation of various interactions between the different ecosystems. Biomes have similar weather, rainfall, animals and plants. The variations in precipitation, temperature and seasons account for the formation of major biomes.
The characteristics features of different major biomes are:
1. Desert : This biome gets the lowest precipitaion.
2. Artic tundra: This is the coldest biome. The average temperature is about -30°C.
3. Taiga: This biome is mostly covered by coniferous trees. They also have cold weather.
4. Temperate: This is an average zone, i.e., it never gets too cold and too hot. Most places of this biome has four seasons - spring, rainy, summer, winter seasons.
