  3. Elephantiasis - Wuchereria bancrofti
    • The nematode, Wuchereria bancrofti, is transmitted to the lymph nodes of the patient by the bite of an infected mosquito causing Elephantiasis. It results in excessive swelling of the lymph nodes characterized by immense pain and disfigured body parts.
  4. Ringworm – Fungi
    • Mold fungi are responsible for causing the skin infection ringworm. It results from the cavity created by the mold upon eating away the outermost surface or epidermis of skin, nails, and hair. It is characterized by painful, itchy red ring-like structures.
  5. Tuberculosis - Mycobacterium tuberculosis
    • The pathogenic bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, causes lung infection resulting in Tuberculosis. It is lethal and often results in death.
