Solution

The correct option is D A-2, B-3, C-1
Genetic material of an organism are those that are either found inside the nucleus (eukaryotes) or bare in the cytoplasm (prokaryotes), which determines the traits and characteristics of the cell.

To isolate the genetic material, the cell wall (if present) must be broken to release the contents inside the cell. The cell wall of a plant, bacterial and fungal cell contains different chemical constituents for which different lysing enzymes are needed to break them down.

To break down the cell wall of the plant cell, an enzyme called cellulase is required. The cellulase enzyme catalyses the break down of the cellulose into smaller polysaccharides.

The major component of the bacterial cell is peptidoglycan or murein. Lysozyme enzymes break the bacterial cell wall; peptidoglycans are extensively hydrolysed by the lysozyme into smaller constituents.

The fungal cell wall contains chitin. Chitin is a modified carbohydrate-containing nitrogen. Chitinases are enzymes that degrade chitin by breaking the glycosidic bonds in between.
