Solution

The correct option is D

A(iii), B(i), C(ii)

A) Radius of bigger semi-circle =14 cm
Area of bigger semi-circle
=12πr2=12×227×14×14=308 cm2

Now, radius of each of the smaller circle =7 cm
Area of two smaller semi-circles
=2(12×227×72)=154 cm2
Required area =308+154=462 cm2

B) Radius of the smaller circle =21 cm
Radius of the bigger circle =21+3.5=24.5 cm
Area of the path =[π(24.5)2π(21)2]=[π(24.5)2(21)2]=π(24.5+21)(24.521)=π[(45.5)×(3.5)]
Area of the path =227×45.5×3.5=500.5 cm2

C) Required area
= Area of sector of angle 30 with radius 7 cm Area of sector of angle 30 with radius 3.5 cm
=(30360×227×72)(30360×227×3.52)=(7767724)=7724×3=778=9.625 cm2
