Shripad Amrit Dange was one of the prominent leaders and a founding member of the Communist Party of India. He was an active participant of Trade Union Movement in India, supporting the cause of workers. Dange was influenced by the Bolshevik ideology and launched the first Indian Marxist journal called the Socialist.

b. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee → i. Bhartiya Jana Sangh

He was the leader of Hindu Mahasabha and was the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Although he was the member of Nehru’s first cabinet after independence and also the member of the first Lok Sabha, he had differences with congress’ ideology over Pakistan. He was also opposed to India’s policy of autonomy to Kashmir.

c. Minoo Masani → ii. Swatantra Party

Masani was one of the prominent figures of the Swatantra Party and was elected thrice to Lok Sabha from Gujarat. He endorsed liberal capitalist ideology and called for minimal role of the state. Masani was also the member of the Constituent Assembly of India.

d. Asoka Mehta → iii. Praja Socialist Party

Asoka Mehta was of the founding members of the Praja Socialist Party. He was actively involved in trade union activities supporting their cause. He was a member of the first and second Lok Sabha elections and was also elected to the fourth Lok Sabha. He later joined Congress party in 1964. In 1977, he became the chairperson of the Asoka Mehta Committee that was formed to recommend changes regarding the Panchayati Raj institutions.
