Solution

The reaction of sodium with acids is violent that the hydrogen gas formed catches fire.

Metals like calcium and magnesium are quite expensive to make their use economically feasible.

Iron upon reaction with acids such as sulphuric acid also releases hydrogen sulphide and sulphur dioxide.

Lead forms a coating of insoluble salts such as lead sulphate or lead chloride which inhibit further reaction.
