Theory of panspermia states that life on Earth came from space through meteorites in the form of spores. It is also known as interplanetary theory/ Cosmozoic theory which was proposed by Richter and supported by Arrhenius.

Theory of abiogenesis states that life spontaneously emerges from decaying rotting matter.
