  1. Crypts of Lieberkuhn are also called succus entericus.
  2. The crypts of Lieberkuhn are the tubular glands that lie between the finger-like projections of the small intestine called villi.
  3. The cells of these glands are called paneth cells, which secrete antibacterial lysozyme.
