Germinal variations: Variations associated with germ or reproductive cells which are inherited by the progeny. Eg, mutations in germ cells.
Continuous variation: Exhibit by organisms possessing quantitative or polygenic traits. Eg, hieght.
Discontinuous variation: Exhibit by organisms possessing qualitative traits. eg., blood groups.
