The Madras High Court is the highest court of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu it exercises original jurisdiction over the city of Chennai and appellate jurisdiction over the entire state of Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Puducherry.

The Calcutta High Court is the oldest High Court in India. It has jurisdiction over the state of West Bengal and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As per the Calcutta High Court (Extension of Jurisdiction) Act 1953 the Kolkata High Court jurisdiction was extended over to Andaman and Nicobar Islands as of 2nd May 1950.

The High Court of Kerala is the highest court in the Indian state of Kerala and in the Indian and in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. It is located in Kochi.

The Bombay High Court, the chartered High Court is one of the oldest High Court in the country. Its jurisdiction covers the State of Maharashtra and Goa, and the Union Territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. In addition to the Principal seat at Bombay, it has benches at Aurangabad, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa).
