Solution

Brahmanas often received land grants for their poems of flattery or services at the palace. These were called Brahmadeya. Many Brahmadeyas together consisted of Agraharas. The peasant settlements were called Urs. Urs became prosperous with the spread of agriculture and irrigation. Nadus were formed by taking several such villages together.
