Solution
Solar cookers use the heat from the Sun for cooking food. The functions of different components of the solar cooker are as follows: 1. Black painted surface - The surface of the solar cooker is painted black as black absorbs maximum solar energy. This increases the temperature inside the solar cooker. 2. Concave mirror - Concave mirrors are provided in the solar cookers for concentrating solar rays over a small area. This increases the temperature inside the solar cooker. 3. Insulator - An insulator is used to insulate the cooker from outside so that the heat is not lost. 4. Glass sheet- Facilitates green-house effect as it traps greenhouse gases and radiations.
