Since independence, India has maintained relations with Europe and the United States of America.
In 2015, India backed the International Solar Alliance launched by France to increase the use for solar energy. This was to encourage the masses to opt for greener energy alternatives.
In 2018, the Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement or COMCASA was signed between the USA and India. This is a 10 year bilateral military agreement which allows India access to advanced communication technology.
In 2019, India launched GSAT-31 from Kourou Launch Base, French Guiana.
