Polymers are classified as linear, branched and cross-linked polymers depending on their structure.
  • Linear polymers are high density polymers having no branches in it. For example, HDPE (high-density polyethylene).
  • Branched polymers are low density polymers having branches in its structure. For example, LDPE (low-density polyethylene).
