Solution

A) FSH Follicle-stimulating hormone is a hormone produced by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. It stimulates the growth of the ovum-containing follicles in the ovary and activates sperm-forming cells. This hormone is essential to pubertal development and the function of women's ovaries and men's testes. It is called as a gonadotrophic as it stimulates the gonad(testes and ovaries).
B) LH Luteinizing hormone is a hormone produced and released in the anterior pituitary gland. This hormone is a gonadotorphic as it controls the function of ovaries and testes(gonad), In women, it stimulates the ovaries to produce oestradiol. a surge in luteinizing hormone causes ovaries to release an egg during ovulation. in men, it stimulates the production of testosterone from leydig cells in testes, this in turn, stimulates sperm production.
C) Progesterone Progesterone is a hormone secreted by the female reproductive system. The main function of this hormone is to regulate the condition of the inner lining (endometrium) of the uterus. It is produced by the ovaries, placenta, and adrenal glands. Progesterone prepares the wall of the uterus so that the lining is capable of accepting a fertilized egg so that the egg is implanted and developed. So the correct option is 1.
D) Estrogen Estrogen play a vital role in both men and women. It is present in women in higher amounts after menarche(onset of menstrual periods) till menopause(ceasing of menstrual periods). Estrogen is mainly responsible for the development of female body and secondary sexual characters. It helps decelerate height increase in females during puberty, accelerates burning of body fat and reduce muscle bulk. So the correct option is 2
