$\bullet$ Dye is a mixture of various colours. The difference in solubility of the components in the solvent helps in seperating different colors from dye. The coloured component which is more soluble in solvent rises faster and the component which is less soluble rises slowly. In this way, colours get separated from a dye by chromotography.
