- A change in which no new substance is formed is called a physical change. Because only the condition of ice changes, not the chemical formula.
It may also be reversed, which means it can be turned back into ice.
(B) Making of curd from milk - (III) Chemical change
- A change in which a new substance is formed is called a chemical change. Curd setting is a chemical alteration that occurs when a new material (lactic acid) is created. The curd that results has a distinct flavour from the original material. Furthermore, once the curd has been created, milk cannot be extracted from it. It's a change that can't be reversed.
