Lysozymes are membrane-bound organelles that are found in eukaryotic cells. These are cell organelles rich in acid phosphatase and other hydrolytic enzymes. Under certain conditions, these organelles burst themselves and release these enzymes. Due to this property they are also termed as the suicidal bags of the cell.
