Stomata are small pores on the leaves. The opening and closing of these pores are controlled by cells called guard cells. Loss of water through these pores is called stomatal transpiration. Cuticle is a waxy layer on leaf. Some amount of transpiration can happen through this layer also. This type of transpiration is called cuticular transpiration. Lenticels are openings found on the surface of mature woody stems. Transpiration through these openings is called lenticular transpiration.
