Given,
Number of pages in Mathematics textbook for class VI = 320

The chapter 'symmetry' runs from page 261 to page 272.

Number of pages of chapter 'symmetry' = (272 - 261) + 1 = 11 + 1 = 12 (+1 because both the page no. 261 and 272 are counted)

Alternatively we can calculate number of pages = 272 - 260=12

Ratio of the number of pages of chapter 'symmetry' to the total number of pages

= Number of pages in symmetry chapterTotal number of pages

= 12320

= 380 [on dividing numerator and denominator by 4]

= 3 : 80

Hence, (c) is the correct option.
