Draw a double number line to calculate the distance.

Mathew covers 60 miles in 2 hours.

The ratio is 602=301,

Which is same as 30:1.

Add 30 to the top line and 1 to the bottom line.


Similarly, add the numbers. Subsequently, the number line will look like this.

From the above double number line, we can conclude that in 5 hours, Mathew covered a distance of 150 miles.
