Time he spent in playing is $\frac{1}{4}$ of the total day.

So, the time spent in playing $=\frac{1}{4}\times 24=6$ h

Time he spent on other activities $=\frac{7}{40}$

So, the time spent on other activities $=\frac{7}{40}\times 24=4.2$ h
