Solution

The correct option is B Pressure

Option (A):

Temperature: As the temperature of solvent increases, the kinetic energy of solute particles increases. Due to increase in the kinetic energy of solute particles, they can easily overcome inter-molecular forces of attraction. So, they can easily dissolve in the solvent.

Option (B):

Nature of solute: The higher will be solute-solvent interaction more will be dissolution of solute. As we know like dissolve likes, so the polar solutes are more soluble in polar solvents while non-polar solutes dissolve in the non-polar solvents.

Option (C):

Pressure: The changes in pressure do not affect the solubility of solids in liquids because the compressibility of solid and liquid substances is almost negligible or very less as compared to gases.

Option (D):

Nature of solvent: The higher will be solute-solvent interaction more will be dissolution of solute. As we know like dissolve likes, so the polar solutes are more soluble in polar solvent while non-polar solvent dissolves in the non-polar solvents.

Hence, option (C) is correct.
