Solution

The correct option is D Oxidation of coenzymes formed during TCA cycle
There are 2 NADH molecules formed per glucose molecule during glycolysis. The oxidation of each NADH molecule through the electron transport chain (ETC) results in the formation of 3 ATP molecules. Oxidation of one FADH2 molecules results in the formation of 2 ATP molecules. In the TCA cycle, 6 NADH molecules and 2 FADH2 molecules are formed per glucose molecule, which result in the formation of 6×3+2×2=22 ATP molecules.
