Solution

Step 1: Given Data

  1. The walking speed of a person is 3 km/hr.
  2. the motion that occurred is from house to school.

Step 2: Calculating distance between house and school

  1. We know that speed is the rate of change of distance with time. speed=distance/ time
  2. We can calculate the distance covered by a person by multiplying the speed and time.
  3. If the person takes 2 hours to go from house to school, the distance from house to school will be 3×2=6 kms

Hence, the distance between house and school will be equal to the multiplication of speed and time.
