Now, from equation. (i), i.e.

Keq=[X]2[X2]
[X]={Keq[X2]}12 .....(ii)
Now, substitute the value of [X] from equation. (ii) in equation.(i), we get
Rate (r)=K1×(Keq)12[X2]12[Y2]=K[X2]12[Y2]
