Medula oblongata controls the involuntary actions & the reflex actions are also involuntary actions- so why the middle oblongata does not control reflex action?

Dear student,

Reflex actions are controlled by the spinal cord and the medulla oblongata is a part of the brain and can not produce an instant response for any reflex action because of dense nerve network, that's why it does not control the reflex action. It controls involuntary actions like blood pressure, vomiting etc.
