Solution

Melting of wax is a physical change:

  1. Physical change- When shape or size changes, it is called a physical change. The wax becomes molten and loses its original shape, therefore it is a physical change.
  2. Another example in our surroundings is the melting of ice. It is also a physical change.
  3. The ice cubes melt and become water, which changes its shape from cubical to the shape that water takes but does not changes its chemical composition.

Another physical change other than the melting of wax that we see in our surroundings is the melting of ice.
