Solution

The correct option is C

Streptococcus

Monerans include bacteria, which are prokaryotes and thus, lack membrane-bound organelles. Streptococcus belongs to the Kingdom Monera and hence lacks membrane bound cell organelles. Saccharomyces, Plasmodium and Chlamydomonas are eukaryotes, i.e. these have a well defined nucleus and membrane bound cell organelles. Saccharomyces (yeast) belongs to Kingdom Fungi. Plasmodium is a protozoan (Kingdom Protista). Chlamydomonas is also placed under Kingdom Protista.
