Five features of the constituent assembly of India were
1. Constituent Assembly members were elected indirectly by members of provincial assemblies.
2. The Constituent Assembly was founded on 6 December 1946 and disbanded on 24 January 1950.
3. From December 1946 till June 1947, there were 389 members in the Assembly. From June 1947 till January 1950, there were 299 members. The other 90 members went to Pakistan.
4. The Constituent Assembly had 9 women members.
5. From 6 December 1946 to 24 January 1950, the Assembly held eleven sessions, sitting for a total of 166 days.
