The plants have different types of adaptations to check excess transpiration. Some of them are as follows.
Any four:
(a) The stomata are sunken and may be reduced in number.
(b) The leaves are absent or reduced or modified into spines.
(c) The leaves may be covered with a thick cuticle.
(d) The number of stomata may be reduced.
(e) Some plants contain latex, mucilage, resin, etc. to retain water in the plant body.
