The four features of Proto-Industrialisation are as follows:-

1. Proto-industrialisation was the time before industrialisation which was not based on factories.
2. Proto- Industrialisation was responsible for large-scale industrial production of goods for international market when there were no factories.
3. In Proto- Industrialisation, production was home-based.
4. During Proto- Industrialisation, merchants moved to country side and supplied money to artisans so that they can produce for international market.
