Virus: This infectious agent is a small submicroscopic organism that utilizes host machinery to replicate and increase its number. Diseases caused by viruses include AIDS, Hepatitis A, and Dengue.

  1. AIDS( Acquired Immunodeficiency syndrome): AIDS is caused by the Human Immuno virus. It is an infectious disease which transmit through sexual contact with an infected person, transfusion of blood contaminated with HIV, and the use of infected needles. Symptoms: weight loss, loss of immunity, high fever, weakness in the body.
  2. Hepatitis A: It is caused by hepatitis virus A which is transmitted to a healthy person by intake of contaminated food and water. Symptoms: Headache, body pain, pain in joints, Dark yellow urine, and fatigue
  3. Dengue: It is a mosquito-borne viral disease which is caused by the Dengue virus which is transmitted by female mosquitoes – Aedes aegypti which bite human beings during the day time and symptoms usually develop after 6-10 days the mosquito has bitten. Symptoms: Loss of appetite, gum bleeding, Diarrhoea, vomiting, high fever, muscle, and joint pain, and rashes on the skin.
