Dairy is one of the largest growing agriculture-based industry where milch cattle are used for the production of milk and many other dairy products.
The first and foremost important thing in dairy management is the selection of the cattle that are to be kept on the farm. A different breed of cattle has different quantity and quality of milk production depending on the area in which they are found and the climate of the area. So the cattle breed should be selected as per that.
The second most important thing is the maintenance of cattle. The hygiene and food of the cattle should be maintained. The cattle where the reside that area should be kept clean and regularly sanitized so that the pathogenic organisms that can cause disease in the cattle should be eradicated. The cattle should be vaccinated for the disease time to time. Fodder that is to be provided to the cattle should be maintained as per the scientific basis which has a balance of all the nutrients that is required by the cattle. Workers that are working with the cattle should also maintain a level of hygiene so that neither they or the cattle are effect by any disease.
And finally, the cattle that are the best for the dairy should be selected to produce more progeny so that their trait is passed down and a group of best milch/dairy cattle is produced.
