(a) Fighting major diseases: WHO controls epidemics in the world by organising an effecting warning system. It provides help through trained staff and by distributing essential medicines and vaccines.
(b) Strengthening national services: WHO provides information regarding epidemics, diseases, drugs and medical and health publications. The information is freely available to all the member countries.
