Solution

Mahatma Gandhi & Lord Irwin concluded an agreement at Delhi on March 5, 1931, known as the Gandhi-Irwin Pact. Under this pact, the British government agreed to release those political prisoners who had remained non-violent and conceded the right to make salt for consumption. The Congress agreed to suspend the Civil Disobedience Movement and to take part in the Second Round Table Conference.
